We focus on dieting and exercising until we are back to our ideal weight then call it quits. This is most likely why these plans fail in the long run. Three months later we are buying gym memberships and stocking up on waist-friendly foods starting over again...
Dropping Weight Fast
We are not focusing on overall health when we are trying to shed those unwanted pounds. We want to look good again. There are too many programs and diets to help drop the weight quickly that sound much easier than achieving our goals the old fashioned way. The truth is that when we fall for these ploys we will be back to step one in no time. It is possible to loose weight and look good in two months but you aren't going to keep those results when you stop when your plan is done and go back to eating ice cream in the middle of the night.
What You Should do to be Healthy and Fit
It's fairly simple. We watch what we eat, stick to goals, and get up off the couch. No more nonsensical quick schemes to do it the easy way. Find a time of the day that works for you and go be ACTIVE! You don't need an expensive gym membership if that's not what you are into. If you like to run then run. If you enjoy biking then bike. If you like to dance then dance around your house until you break a sweat. Once you make a habit of including healthy activities in your day it will be easy and fun to create a routine that will keep you on your feet and staying fit.
As far as eating goes don't punish yourself. This doesn't mean that you can eat whatever you want because most of us can't. Find healthy foods that you like. There are millions of healthy recipes online to choose from. Even websites to count your calories and create personal goals. All you have to do is start being active and conscious of what you put into your body. Creating a lifestyle like this will help form healthy habits and keep you fit and trim instead of trying to find the easy way out. There are few easy paths in life that pay off. When dealing with weight and health there are none that will benefit you like some good old-fashioned exercise and healthy eating.
