Why am I Trying Skin ID

Before trying this product I have used many others that work for cleansing my face but not for getting rid of my acne marks or redness. My most recent try was with Clearasil "Acne + Marks Wash and Mask". This product did not help me at all. I used it daily, sometimes twice a day without fazing my marks and acne. Before that I used Neutrogena's "Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub". It helped a little to reduce the amount of big pimples I got but didn't help the little ones on my cheeks. I can't ever remember the countless other products I have tried that help with some of my skin issues but not others and sometimes didn't work at all for my skin. I am in no way badmouthing other products I have tried because they work for some and not for others depending on your skin type and the issues you have. Just thought I would share my experience with others so we can see how this product works together.

What is Neutogena Skin ID?

Neutrogena has created a new line of facial care call Skin ID. It is centered around your personal needs. I heard it advertised and thought it would be worth a try since nothing has been working for me. I don't have horrible acne but it's enough to make me seek out some treatment. I get a few large pimples here and there but my biggest worries are the small red bumps on my face and red blemishes around my cheeks and forehead. My cheeks are my problem area so that is what I will be focusing on as far as progress goes.

I went to Neutrogena's Skin ID website and filled out the online questionnaire about my skin. It asks about the severity of your acne, how oily your face is, how sensitive your skin is, and other important factors. I paid about $30 including shipping for my set and got it about a week after ordering. My personal kit included a face wash, an acne treatment, and some pads to wipe excess oil off my face during the day between washing. They also included a body spray for pimples, an acne spot remover for single pimples on my face, and a carrying bag for free.

Week 1 of Neutrogena Skin ID

After one week of using Skin ID I have noticed some changes in my skin. I started using the face wash only every other day instead of every day because my skin was drying out really fast. I think this is a result of the cold weather and putting something new into my routine. I have used everything else as directed. My skin is noticable smoother and I haven't gotten any large pimples. My skin is also a lot smoother and many of my small bumps have gone away. The only thing I'm not happy with so far is that the redness on my face has yet to leave but I am hoping that this will change over the next week. So far I would recommend this product.
